PTRA GENERAL RULES

  • ALL CARS MUST BE TECHED BY TRACK AND TECH CARDS HANDED INTO TRACK OFFICIAL AT TECH. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Dragsters and altereds will compete in Pro Comp if they meet the class criteria.
  • Sleds and motorcycles will compete in the class their time determines.
  • Qualifying is based on reaction time, two rounds of qualifying, three if time permits.
  • The best reaction time is the #1 qualifier, you will then be put on a sportsman ladder for the eliminations.
  • Potential Bye run for Round 1 will go to the driver with the best reaction time in the final qualifying run, all other rounds bye run will be determined by best reaction time from previous round until ladder is set.
  • Before ladder, no vehicle shall receive two bye runs. Once ladder is generated, if a racer receives another bye run, that bye run shall stand.
  • Bye run vehicles must stage under it's own power.
  • Lane choice to faster car.
  • Bracket Racing Aids - delay boxes, cross over boxes or any reaction time related time devices are prohibited.
  • Tires must be slicks or drag radials.
  • No buy backs.
  • Courtesy staging will be in effect for all classes; by pre staging you have accepted the conditions of the race. (Double check board dial ins).
  • RAIN OUT POLICY: IN THE EVENT OF RAIN-OUT OR CURFEW, IF A CLASS HAS COMPLETED ITS FIRST ROUND OF ELIMINATIONS THE RACE WILL BE CONSIDERED COMPLETE AND THE PURSE SPLIT AMOUNGEST ROUND WINNERS. IF A CLASS HAS NOT STARTED NOR COMPLETED ITS FIRST ROUND, PAYOUTS WILL BE DIVIDED AMONG RACERS. IF A CLASS CANNOT COMPLETE THE CURRENT ROUND OF COMPETITION, PAYOUTS WILL BE SPLIT AND BASED ON PREVIOUSLY COMPLETED ROUND.
  • All vehicles subject to race officials inspection at any time.
  • NHRA safety rules apply. Race will be run under NHRA procedures unless otherwise stated below.
  • All payouts will be made in Canadian dollars.
  • Payouts are made only after all eliminations are completed.
  • Any disputes are left to the discretion of event officials.
  • Rules are subject to change at any time!
  • If during qualifying or eliminations you roll the beams when staging, you are automatically disqualified. You CANNOT back up and try again.

OPEN COMP

  • Et break 6.70 and slower. 1/8 mile.
  • After seeing the interest of delay boxes racers that want to come out and participate in this race, it has been decided that to allow cars with delay boxes to race. Every car that has a box will be inspected at tech, will have to be zeroed out and taped over.
  • .500 pro tree will be used.
  • Down track Throttle stops prohibited.
  • Trans brakes, Two steps, line locks and air/electric shifters permitted.
  • Deep staging allowed, DEEP must clearly marked on vehicle. It is drivers responsibility to get staged before tree activates.
  • Nitrous permitted.
  • Data recorders allowed.
  • NHRA safety rules will be enforced.

PRO COMP

  • Et break 0-7.00. 1/8 mile.
  • After seeing the interest of delay boxes racers that want to come out and participate in this race, it has been decided that to allow cars with delay boxes to race. Every car that has a box will be inspected at tech, will have to be zeroed out and taped over.
  • .400 pro tree will be used.
  • Down track Throttle stops prohibited
  • Trans Brakes, 2-steps, line locks and air/electric shifters permitted.
  • Deep staging allowed, DEEP must clearly marked on vehicle. It is drivers responsibility to get staged before tree activates.
  • Nitrous permitted.
  • Data recorders allowed.
  • NHRA safety rules will be enforced.

EAST VS. WEST SHOOTOUT - (May 18-19)

  • 1/8 mile
  • Qualify Saturday, race Sunday.
  • This is ALL about ego!
  • Who has the quickest car? Windsor? Maybe Kitchener, Cambridge, Brantford, Toronto, Woodbridge, Ottawa, London, Sarnia???
  • Tires must be 10.5"slicks or big as you want non-slick drag radials
  • NO minimum weights, NO restrictions
  • Must meet NHRA chassis certification and have an oil containment device, pan or diaper.

KING OF THE STREET - (June 30 only)

  • 1/8 mile
  • Valid license plate
  • Proof of insurance
  • Tires must be slicks or drag radials
  • Entrants may double class
